Crazy Johnnie's, Metairie LA

Very nice hang out spot. With in walking distance of Lakeside Mall. The food is cajun influenced and the prices are great. Has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat out side and drank cold bear and had hot food. The wait staff was a little slow, but with their prices and solid food, you deal with that part. 3 of us ate and had 2 beers each for $45. The most expensive item on the menu is a $15.95 fillet. Most of the meals are around the $9.95 range. If you need a place to hang out and get a good meal. Would recommend as a place to stretch your dollar.

Impastato's Metairie, LA

A very nice Italian place, where the food is awesome and the ambiance is really cool. The owner Joe is right there to greet, seat and serve his guests with a wait staff that is well trained and very attentive. The food is very fresh with homemade pasta and great veal dishes as well as an exellent wine list. I would suggest a few more by the glass options for the wines. The dinning experience was awesome. Joe and his team made it a very memorable place to dine. A lot of sports history has also passed thru this resturant. The walls are covered with autographed photos and jerseys from athletes of all sports. Football seems to be the main passion though. Highly reccomend if in the area.

Newks Shreveport

Very good lunch spot in the area. Great sanwiches and salads. Priced right with huge portions. The Pizza's are also very good. If you go during lunch hours, give yourself a little extra time as they are always busy, but it is worth it. Thay also have a take out menu, so you can call ahead and take it with you.
